The Portrait Process
Marjorie works from photographs and sittings by the subject. The initial photo session is done with a digital camera either on location or in her studio. This session takes approximately two hours to complete. She does a preliminary sketch during this session also.
Marjorie works from these photos and the preliminary sketch to develop a small idea sketch for the client to approve. Once the portrait is underway, she may require sittings which will be arranged at the client’s convenience.
